To the notary
The signed deed of purchase and all relevant documents are being accompanied by a copy of your driver’s license or identity card to the notary. Once the notary received the deed, he sets a date and time fixed for the signing of the deed of transfer. A few days before the delivery you will receive from the notary a copy of the deed and the memorandum of settlement.
Check always together with La Caza if every data is correct. Please keep in mind that the buyer has the right to inspect your house before delivery to see if everything is left in the agreed condition. On the day of delivery La Caza will go with you to the notary.
If there is not a valid energy label, the notary can just handle the transfer, but then you are in violation and risk a penalty. You are officially no longer owner of the property when you signed the deed of transfer at the notary and when it is registered at the Land Registry.
At the time which is specified in the deed, the buyer pays the purchase price and, if applicable, the price for the movable assets you leave behind.
